Problems

My ISP got hacked a few times over the past few days, and so Subtraction.com has been down and email sent to me has probably been bouncing. It’s pretty annoying, but it’ll get it all sorted soon.

And Then I Snapped Out of It

For months and months, it seemed like I was unable to get motivated to do any substantial work on my own, personal projects. It was awful, like a haze, like a cloud of befuddlement. Every time I sat down to try and do some sort of work, I felt lost. I can’t cite a specific cause, but it looks like I’ve been able to snap out of that funk over the past few days, and it’s been invigorating. I’m cooking up something I hope to post here soon.

Much Later

Publishing and Procastination

Back in October, I had a brainstorm to create a Web log sort of venue for my ramblings, which I called List(n). Er, well, it wasn’t a brainstorm that lasted all that long, but the idea was to structure a forum that would allow me to post concise, simple ideas at brief intervals, without developing elaborate essays and presentations for them.

Dear Diary

So I’ve been thinking of keeping a journal for some time, of recording my thoughts and posting regular entries to my Web site. A few things have been driving this idea.

The most obvious rationale is this recent sea-change in my life. My relocation to Singapore has been nontrivial – it’s a big deal in fact, at least to me. I’ve been reckoning with an immense docket of changes and challenges. All of which seem like ideal fodder for posterity; an amateur writer in me feels compelled to record what I can.
