French premium cable channel Canal+ commissioned this gorgeous video montage from branding studio Holman + Hunt and agency DBLG. Its fast editing and high level of abstraction suggests computer-generated enhancements, but in fact the effects were primarily done in-camera.
Athletes were filmed running and jumping through a short corridor lined with tall mirrors on either side. The mirrors were rotated via remote control and featured colored lights on their edges; the result is a high contrast, visual staccato that recalls early James Bond title sequences.
