This story sounds so reminiscent of happenings 2-3 years ago and for me, being on the TV side of the biz, it was closer to 9 years and the fight goes on 😉 It goes to show you the power of structure- until it became obvious that the newspaper biz structure was seriously eroding, nothing got done.
Now you have people that have been doing this R&D or similar work elsewhere being asked to bring that value to news. I guess we’ll see what happens to our business as things mature. Stay Tuned!
